Looks like you are hitting a couple bumps, but are still making progress.

I have to ask, what makes that headunit cost 1.3K?

bumps :snicker: yes
either way it's moving along nicely if you ask me!

read: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... /DEX-P99RS

i dont know though lol...

my current head unit costs $50 less than the car itself... this headunit would cost $50 less than 3x the car itself.

another teaser:

there was one brake light giving me trouble nonstop so I replaced that with LED... I had the controller from a honda so it works the same as a dual filament (running + brake lights)... i'm happy for now... working on copying the board so I can do it on both sides (or just hit a JY for it)...

anyways... hoping to fiberglass the other map pocket this weekend... I too it into the car... I realize now that I want something that sinks into the door -- even if it's just a little. I forgot how far they stick out, even unmodified.

I'll finish em for sure, then probably run em for a while and sell them... If anyone is interested -- they'll be finished in black vinyl probably. they're for DEEP 5.25" speakers and they're not sealed... probably not of interest to anyone

850_switches.jpg

i like! i have a new set of switches on the away to include the entire harness (including the relay for auto roll down)... and plan to order new connectors for everything.

apparently there are some drop in replacement buttons for the regular 240 switches that are LIT... might do those for the other 3 switches to keep it consistent.

no changes in the fiberglass world... i had a mean rash all over my arms last week ( :baby: ) and wasn't sure if it was something i rubbed on at the junk yard or all the random chemicals i was working with...

oh and i think i'm gonna redo some wiring... i have some very nice wiring and cover/protectors for under the carpet (all from the C70)

I was probably the fiberglass, it does the same thing to my skin when I rub up against it. I try to wear gloves and long sleeves when I am working with fiberglass or if I am even going to be near it.
