HOW TO: Replace Front (Passenger) Engine Mount

I started working on my volvo this morning and figured I would do a write up. This write up will take you step by step on how to replace your wornout front engine mount on you 850/S70/C70/V70.

1: Loosen all your lug nuts on your front passenger wheel, this is the only one that you will be taking off.

2: Jack up the front of your car and support it on jack stands.

3: Remove the front wheel and take the plastic nut that holds down the plastic wheel well cover off. Pull the plastic cover to the right.

4: Place a car jack under the engine with a piece of wood on it and jack up the engine. This will take off the tension on the bolts.

5: Now remove all four bolts holding the mount in. You will need to use a wrench on the sub frame bolts. There is no way to get a ratchet in there.

6: Install is the reverse of removal.
